Lionel Messi’s future has been thrown around a lot lately. Will the Argentine football superstar leave Paris Saint-Germain and head back to Barcelona? Lionel Messi’s future has been thrown around a lot lately. Will the Argentine football superstar leave Paris Saint-Germain and head back to Barcelona? Or will he choose the United States, for example? These questions are being asked more and more often. But according to the latest reports, Inter Milan have also started to show interest in Messi.
The captain of the reigning world champions is out of contract in Paris in the summer. Although PSG will try to keep him by all means possible, it is quite likely that he will wear the jersey of another team next season.
There is a lot of talk about Messi’s return to Barcelona. These debates have been fuelled by the recent statement of the Argentine’s former teammate and great friend Sergio Agüero.
The former Manchester City player said that he believes there is about a 50 percent chance that the football idol will return to Catalonia in the summer.
The other frequently mentioned suitor for Messi’s services is Inter Miami, a club owned by none other than former England international midfielder David Beckham.
Another option for Messi could be a similar engagement to the one chosen by his eternal rival Cristiano Ronaldo after his departure from Manchester United, i.e. Saudi Arabia.
The new and big bombshell, however, is the interest of Inter Milan. The Italian Serie A participant is making big plans for the next league season and would like to include Messi, who was already on the cards when the 35-year-old striker left Camp Nou.
According to reports carried by football website Goal, which often deals with transfer speculation, Inter will try to get the Rosario native on a free transfer after the end of the current campaign.
At the moment, however, Messi is fulfilling his national team duties and does not seem to be too concerned about his future for the time being.
