Conor McGregor is getting closer and closer to a comeback. He left the USADA testing program after a serious injury and must be in it for at least six months when he returns. However, many are speculating that the Irishman was using banned substances and bypassed the system.
Irish fighter Conor McGregor is back in the spotlight. He is currently being seen a lot, however, he will have a fight with Michal Chandler later this year.
That is, if it happens. This is because the Irishman is in dispute with the anti-doping agency USADA, who insist that the star fighter must be put on a testing program for six months before he is allowed to fight.
McGregor until recently claimed something completely different, referring to an agreement with USADA, only for the latter to deny his words. Either way, if he wants to fight later this year, he’s got some time to be included.
However, there are rumours that McGregor is a cheat in relation to the testing. UFC lightweight wrestler Beneil Dariush gave his opinion to The Schmo.
“I think Conor is cheating. If you need to get your leg or knee fixed, you can get a therapeutic exemption, which USADA will provide. You talk to them and you get it. So you can take approved growth hormones, but anything you use for recovery you have to report.
At the same time, they can still test you, you just have to report that you got a therapeutic exemption. This isn’t McGregor’s case. He even wrote on his forms that he was retired,” he said.
Based on the Irish fighter’s actions, it simply looks like he was taking banned substances to hasten his return to the cage. However, he didn’t break the rules, he just skirted them. How moral that is is for each individual to judge for themselves.
