Already a week ago, the first speculations about Václav Černý’s transfer to Wolfsburg started. Now he has agreed on a contract in Germany and nothing prevents his transfer to the Bundesliga. What will be the transfer fee?

Vaclav Cerny has spent his entire professional career in the Netherlands so far. At the age of 17, he left Příbram for the academy of Ajax, from which he transferred to Utrecht in 2019.

However, it can be said that he did not win his place at this club. Utrecht then sent him on loan to Twente, where the native of Pribram then moved permanently. And he did well.

Cerny put up great numbers in the 2022/23 season, scoring thirteen goals and assisting eleven more in 33 games. In hockey terminology, he scored 24 points, and he also scored one more goal in the Conference Qualifiers.

On Sunday, he will play his last game of the season, in which he will play for a place in the European Conference League. However, if his Twente does well, Cerny will most likely no longer play this competition.

Indeed, it was already speculated last week that Bundesliga side Wolfsburg were significantly interested in the national winger, but since then negotiations have had to shift significantly.

According to De Telegraaf , the 25-year-old has agreed a four-year contract in Germany and now the clubs will address the transfer fee, which will not be a staggering amount.

The current talk is that it should be between €6-7 million, and this is without bonuses. 10% of this amount should be received by his former team Utrecht, where he joined for just €1 million.
