Manchester United have been strengthening in the summer, but they have problems in attack. Cristiano Ronaldo’s future still seems uncertain, Anthony Martial is injured and so it is no surprise that the Old Trafford side are looking for a solution. According to the Italian media, an interesting transfer is therefore looming.

The Red Devils enter the new season under new coach Erik ten Hag. However, all summer long there has been talk about the future of Cristiano Ronaldo, who according to leading media and journalists is set to leave.

Moreover, before the start of the Premier League, coach ten Hag noted that Ronaldo is far from ready for the new season and that he will have to make up for the training deficit. However, he doesn’t have many other options in attack.

Anthony Martial, who has played the most on the spearhead in preparation, is injured and will miss some time. That is also why Manchester United are looking for someone who can patch up the bleeding wound.

Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport came up with an interesting piece of information on Saturday. The Old Trafford side are reportedly interested in the star of Italian side Bologna, specifically 33-year-old Austrian Marko Arnautovic.

Arnautovic has a controversial reputation. He was a player with a lot of talent, but never fulfilled it. However, once he started to thrive at West Ham, he left the club for China, outraging Hammers fans.

A year ago he returned to Italy where he was welcomed by Bologna fans as a star of great stature. After all, in the mediocre Serie A team there, the Austrian scored a total of 15 competitive goals.

So he certainly hasn’t lost his quality. However, the question is whether he will be willing to accept a supporting role at a big club. Juventus were interested in him in the summer, but he refused to pay the required amount for Arnautovic.

Although the specific amount has not been disclosed, Bologna are said to be doing their best to keep their attacking star.
