Internacional vs. Atletico GO: Preview and betting tips
The pre-season Tuesday will offer a match in the Brazilian Serie A. Internacional will welcome Atletico GO on their home ground, while the home team can jump into the Top 5 if they win and the visitors would like to get out of the relegation zone.
In the last four rounds, Internacional have drawn each time and are close to the relegation zone, currently with a three-point lead. However, the table is so balanced that they are only two points behind third place.
Atletico won the last round, yet they remain in the relegation zone. They are only one point behind Juventud in 17th, but have a comfortable four-point lead at the bottom of the table.
The team’s mainstay and captain is the experienced Brazilian winger Taison, author of three goals and three assists. The striker Wesley, on loan from England’s Aston Villa, has scored two goals so far.
The visitors have a skilful offensive midfielder in Jorginho, who has scored five times and assisted seven times. Winger Wellington Rato has been on the scoresheet for six goals, scoring three himself and setting up three more with accurate passing.
The home side will miss Bruno Gomez, while the visitors cannot rely on the injured Dudu.
Internacional rely on a goal-scoring attack, scoring more than once in three of their last four games.
That doesn’t play into Atletico’s hands, as they are struggling defensively and have terrible form off the field. It hasn’t won an away game in the last five occasions.
Given the form of the home side’s attack, I think Internacional will win in front of their fans.
