There is really something to see in Italy. Not only are there three teams fighting for the Scudetto – AC Milan, Inter Milan and Napoli, but the first two teams will also face each other in the Coppa Italia semi-final rematch! Who will advance to the final?
It will be a duel with everything. And probably a heated one too, after all it is a battle of irreconcilable rivals or who will dominate the Derby della Madonnina?
In the first semi-final of the Coppa Italia, AC Milan had the better of the game, but they couldn’t convert their chances and the match ended in a goalless draw. However, for the eye of the beholder, this first game was already attractive and the match brought a solid pace.
Inter struggled with mistakes in their crosses, while the Rossoneri managed to completely eliminate Inter’s midfield players and AC were very active especially in the pressing department.
Although the Milanese can indeed create solid scoring chances, it is the final phase that has plagued AC Milan in recent games. Although the last game against Genoa ended in a convincing 2-0 win for the Rossoneri.
However, AC still hold an impressive stats in terms of goals scored, thanks to the absolutely brilliant catching of Maignano. The Rossoneri have not scored a goal for seven games in a row (630 minutes)!
The last time Mike Maignan had to fish the ball out of the net was on 25 February in a home game against Udinese, which ended in a 1-1 draw. However, five goals scored in seven games is not such a dazzling result.
By contrast, Inter have scored fourteen goals since their last game against AC and conceded only three. The Nerazurri’s most notable result came at the beginning of March when they blasted Salernitana 5-0.
Subsequently, they won at Anfield Road (1:0) in the Champions League eight-finals, and at the beginning of April they scored a very important victory at Juventus.
The match kicks off at 9pm and is highly likely to offer a great spectacle. So what are you betting on?
