Instead of a birthday card, breasts. German world champion accidentally filmed his naked wife, the internet is having fun

German soccer legend Andreas Brehme had a big embarrassment. The 1990 world champion wanted to record a birthday card for a fan, but he accidentally filmed his naked wife.

If the Germans can thank anyone for winning the 1990 World Cup, it’s Andreas Brehme. At just 175 centimetres tall, the defenceman had a blast.

He missed the group stage but shone in the play-offs. He scored Germany’s second goal in the 82nd minute in the eighth round against the Netherlands, which was eventually the winning goal after Koeman’s reduction.

He missed the quarter-final against Czechoslovakia when Matthaus scored the only goal of the game, but he showed up again in the semi-final. Against England he scored the opening goal of the match in the 60th minute, and after an equaliser by Lineker the match went to penalties where Brehme converted his attempt safely.

His most famous moment, however, came in the final against Argentina. In the 85th minute, Germany had a penalty, and it was Brehme who set up the penalty, and with the only goal of the match, he decided the triumph of the world champions.

He is a legend in Germany and is still remembered by fans to this day. Brehme also has a good relationship with the fans, and last summer he wanted to make a fan happy and send him a birthday card.

“Dear Alfred, I wish you a happy 80th birthday…,” the 62-year-old Brehme began the video. There would have been nothing strange about a roughly one-minute birthday wish, but there was a bit of an embarrassment.

As Brehme finishes speaking, his 56-year-old wife Susanna Schaeder walks into the room in nothing but her topless underwear. And the legendary footballer unwittingly accidentally turns the camera on her.

“We only realised when more and more friends started calling me. I have no idea why it’s popping up everywhere now, someone must have posted it. I didn’t even realise at the time that I had sent it,” Brehme tells the German newspaper BILD.

“Now the whole world knows what a great wife I have! It shouldn’t have happened, but now I can only laugh at myself. Next time I’d better tell Susanne to make the video,” laughs the 1990 World Champion.

Even his wife is taking the matter in stride. “The video was shot last summer, we were on holiday at Lake Garda. But it’s not a big deal. You can always see me like this when I’m changing on the beach or in the sauna. We’re laughing about it together now and I tease Andy about being a social media expert,” Susanne added.
