Bundesliga, Germany: Harry Kane (Bayern Munich) – 21 goals
The former Tottenham player has started his first engagement outside the British Isles famously. He leads the German Bundesliga scorers’ table with twenty-one shots, which the Bayern Munich forward needed just fifteen duels to achieve.
An incredible record. The thirty-year-old striker’s goalscoring galore is enough for the reigning champions to finish second behind leaders Leverkusen.
Ligue 1, France: Kylian Mbappé (PSG) – 18 goals
No big surprise. France equals the goalscoring feast of a star named Kylian Mbappé. After a summer transfer dance with Real Madrid that once again didn’t work out, the twenty-five-year-old forward has once again thrown himself into the job in Paris, and the result is eighteen goals that put PSG five points ahead of second-placed Nice in the table after seventeen rounds.
Serie A, Italy: Lautaro Martinez (Inter Milan) – 16 goals
Serie A has a completely unshakable goalscoring ruler in its midfield. Lautaro Martinez of Inter Milan scored sixteen goals.
The Argentine striker has seven more goals than second-placed Berardi of Sassuolo. Inter are also ahead of second-placed Juventus thanks to the world champion’s efforts, and Martinez is on course for the highest scoring season of his career. He has already managed to score twenty-one league goals twice.
Premier League, England: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) and Erling Haaland (Manchester City) – 14 goals
According to many, Europe’s best competition is ruled by proven brands. After twenty rounds, Egyptian Mohamed Salah of leading Liverpool and Norwegian scorer Erling Haaland playing for Manchester City have fourteen accurate shots in tandem.
The former is the more productive overall, as he has added eight assists to his goal scoring performance. Haaland, however, has played five fewer league games.
La Liga, Spain: Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid) – 13 goals
The most expensive transfer of the summer is paying off handsomely for the royal club. The English talent, who is still only twenty years old, has managed to net thirteen goals in seventeen duels and dominates the Spanish scorers. Moreover, many of his goals have been three-pointers. Thanks to the potential of the Birmingham man, Real are keeping pace in the table with the surprise from Girona in Catalonia.
Other leagues
And how are things looking in other competitions? In the Netherlands, for example, the eighteen-goal duo of Santiago Tomas Gimenez of Feynoord Rotterdam and Alkmaar’s Greek Vangelis Pavlidis are on a rampage.
Fourteen-goal Simona Banza from Braga dominates in Portugal and in Turkey, the Argentine Mauro Icardi plays for Galatasaray Istanbul. Edin Džeko is also with twelve shots.
