In the media we keep hearing Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappé, Haaland! But a different shooting beast is raging in Europe from 2019!
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have entertained hundreds of millions of fans around the world over the last decade. Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland are again rising stars who have great potential! But in Europe, as of 2019, the most elite scorer is someone else!
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have entertained hundreds of millions of fans around the world over the last decade. Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland are again rising stars who have great potential! But in Europe, as of 2019, the most elite scorer is someone else!
All of the above mentioned play in the top 5 European leagues and have incredible numbers! To be completely correct, the actual fact is that the French Ligue 1 is surpassed by the Portuguese league according to the current coefficient and is only the 6th best in Europe!
But that is not the point. The point is the media’s overlooking of the shooting beast from Poland. Robert Lewandowski is literally unstoppable since 2019 and has literally missed the other elite forwards by a steamer!
Lewandowski has a whopping 36 more goals than Ronaldo or Mbappé in all competitions as of 2019. Why is it that he’s not as celebrated? Is he not interesting enough for the media? Is he from the imaginary East?
Many speculate that last season the Polish striker was denied the Ballon d’Or for 2020, which was cancelled due to the pandemic. However, football was played, albeit without spectators, but it was played.
Either way, if Lewandowski continues his goal scoring spree, he will surely challenge for the most valuable individual award.
