I’m one of the best fighters, I don’t have to prove anything to anyone, McGregor is clear. What weight does he want to fight at when he returns?

Conor McGregor is slowly preparing for his comeback, and at least in the media, he’s doing his promo so that he can immediately join the title fight. In his last interview, he stated that he is one of the best fighters in the world.
The Irish fighter is still recovering from the injury he sustained in his last fight with Dustin Poirier when he broke his leg. It happened in July last year. Although Conor McGregor is training, the injured leg is still in the rehabilitation phase.
Despite losing three of his last four fights, McGregor has been pushing for months to make a title fight immediately upon his return.
The Irishman has challenged lightweight champion Charles Oliveira, who in his first defence late last year beat the aforementioned Poirier after forcing him to tap out in the third round via choke.
Oliveira, however, will apparently make his UFC 274 debut in May, where he is expected to defend his belt in a fight with Justin Gaethje. The event will also feature Jiri Prochazka, who will be the headliner.
The thirty-three-year-old former two-time UFC champion says he’s feeling better every day. He says he could start fighting again in April. There has been a lot of talk about whether McGregor will be able to drop down to lightweight again, but according to his words, he will fight at welterweight or just lightweight.
“I know I’m one of the best fighters in the world. I don’t have to prove it to anybody. I’m a former two-time champion, I boxed… I justhave to get back to my old self and put on a show for the fans,” McGregor let be heard in an interview with the media at the Bellator event.
The Irishman also revealed that he will be staying away from pubs and alcohol and will be focusing 100% on fighting. He also assured that he is in no rush to get anywhere and is aware of the great support he has from the people.
