I’m not going to get the title that way! Medvedev not only about obstacles and motivation

During his tennis career, he has already won twenty tournament titles. Daniil Medvedev celebrated winning the last one almost a year ago. The Russian tennis player wants more triumphs but refuses to take the easy way out.
Last year, he enjoyed triumph at five tennis events. Daniil Medvedev conquered a tournament on a hard surface four times, once even rejoicing on his not very favourite clay.
This year, in his last match at the tournament, he has yet to win. The 28-year-old Russian came closest to winning the title at the Australian Open and Indian Wells.
But in both cases he was no match for the great players of the upcoming generation. At the Grand Slam in Australia he lost to Sinner, and at the Masters in California he fell short to Alcaraz.
Let’s add, however, that Medvedev has been performing very well. Even though he is still without a title this year, he has always reached at least the semi-finals. Don’t expect him to lose.
Medvedev and his vision
Who wouldn’t want to win tournaments. Medvedev is no exception. However, the Moscow native certainly doesn’t want to take the easy way out.
“If I played ten deuces a year, I would probably win some titles,” he describes the possibility associated with participating in ATP tournaments at the basic level. But Medvedev prefers more valuable tennis events.
The upcoming clay court season brings interesting questions. One of the others will be Medvedev’s results. Playing on clay is not his first choice.
Yet on the slowest surface, he succeeded at the Masters in Rome last year. And he’ll stick to his vision here, too. He only plans to participate in the four biggest events.
In addition to Roland Garros, he’ll play three Masters tournaments. After Monte Carlo and Madrid, he will try to defend his Rome triumph from last year.
In the Eternal City, Medvedev could thus complete two missions at once. In addition to his first title of the season, he could defend his triumph from the previous year for the first time in his career.
