I’m glad we’re alive. We are not playing for ourselves, but for the whole of Czech football, says Rada after the draw with Randers

Jablonec won a valuable point in Denmark against Randers, when they managed to equalize from 0:2 to 2:2. Petr Rada, however, had mixed feelings about the whole match.

According to Petr Rada, Jablonec entered the match well. They played actively and attacked well. However, the second half came with two unnecessary goals that would not have pleased any coach.

”Forty-sixth minute, we get a completely unnecessary goal where we lack focus and punch, then we concede an own goal. It was very difficult to get going again.”

Rado’s charges did not give up. They managed to reduce and finally equalise thanks to Čvančar and Kratochvíl. The match ended 2:2 despite a disastrous start of the second half.

The coach of the North Boys was very angry when a penalty was not whistled in favour of his team after a clear hand. He thinks the referee is afraid to whistle a penalty in favour of the smaller team. He takes it to mean that Jablonec can be a bore, because it doesn’t happen often in Europe.

However, such situations motivate Radu and his charges to achieve even better results. Despite the missed penalty, they drew and hold the second relegation position.

“I’m glad we are alive. After these situations, I will motivate the players not to let it go, so that we are not the ones who drop out. Even more so than now. We are not playing for ourselves, but for Czech football, to make points for the coefficient,” said the Jablonec coach in the end.
