If you don’t agree to our fight now, it will be a very bad move, Blachowicz tells Procházka
Jiří Procházka has already agreed with Glover Teixeira on a rematch, which he would like to take place in December this year. He has already agreed with the Brazilian, but Jan Blachowicz is constantly trying to get into his favour. What is his message now?
Jiří Procházka has already agreed with Glover Teixeira on a rematch, which he would like to take place in December this year. He has already agreed with the Brazilian, but Jan Blachowicz is constantly trying to get into his favour. What is his message now?
When Jiri Prochazka won the UFC title, there was immediate debate about who he would fight next. The logical favourite was Poland’s Jan Blachowicz, who was champion until his defeat to Glover Teixeira.
Moreover, Prochazka considered him a great challenge, so it was a surprise when he finally chose a rematch with the Brazilian. With that confirmed, and barring anything unexpected happening, we’re in for one hell of a fight at the end of the year.
The Pole didn’t like that though, as he thought he was next. He took a swipe at Prochazka, but now he’s chosen softer words and is trying to get in his good graces.
“Jiri, my friend, if you don’t nod for our fight now, it will be a very bad move. All of Europe is waiting for this fight. Now is the best time to make our fight happen.
We’ll make money and give Europe a great fight. When else but now? I think I deserve thefight,” he told MMA Fighting.
His annoyance can be understood, but unfortunately for him, there’s nothing he can do about it. Maybe he’ll get to see the next time if Prochazko can defend his welterweight title.
Their fight would be best done in Europe, but unfortunately that is not possible in the near future due to the organization’s plans.
