I’d rather die than move to Real! Piqué didn’t mince words in the interview

Will Gerard Piqué transfer to Real Madrid? Well, that idea seems to be completely off the mark, apparently. In fact, the Barcelona defender was very convincing on the subject and didn’t mince words! So what did he say about the potential transfer?

On the Spanish TV show El Hormiguero, where Piqué was a guest and interviewed with various questions, he was asked a question to which, although the Barcelona icon responded with a smile, it sent a clear message to football fans.

The question was about a potential transfer to Real Madrid. What would the royal club have to do to get Piqué to join them, whereupon the Catalan star responded as follows.

“That’s impossible. There is nothing (they could offer me – ed.), it’s impossible. I would rather die than move to Real Madrid,” Piqué said on the EL Hormiguero TV Show.

However, the Catalan stopper also answered the question of the new coach. He admitted that he certainly doesn’t want to disappoint this coach, Xavi.

“I don’t know if it’s positive that I was Xavi’s teammate. It puts more pressure on you, but here in a good way. He knows what I have in me and that gives me the feeling that I won’t let him down,” Piqué said of Xavi.

And logically, the interview could not end without mentioning his good friend, who left the Nou Camp to join PSG in the summer. We are talking, of course, about Lionel Messi.

“It was a very difficult day then. We spent 16 years together, he was almost like my brother. Our relationship was very personal. This season didn’t start well because we lost the best player in history,” he concluded.
