I would bet on Ronaldo becoming Manchester United coach within 18 months, says former Spurs coach

Cristiano Ronaldo is very well known for his overly strict life, denying himself almost all available fornication in order to be as physically fit as possible in the world. He has a similar thing when it comes to the motivational side of things, the perfect modern coach, don’t you think? Tim Sherwood is definitely of that opinion!
“I can see Cristiano Ronaldo as Manchester United coach within 18 months,” Sherwood let slip in an interview with Ladbrokes.
These are strong words and probably won’t come true, but there have been several cases in history where fresh coaches have succeeded immediately after the end of their careers.
“He’s a completely different Ronaldo now to the one we saw during his first spell at Old Trafford. He knows how others need him, and if he feels he should be standing next to the coach and giving orders, then you have to let him do it,” continued the former Tottenham and Aston Villa coach.
We have seen this situation at least once before, when Ronaldo was injured during the European Championship final against France. He was shouting at the players alongside the Portuguese coach and it was clear that he would like to come back right away.
Sherwood, of all people, is someone who should definitely know something about this. Apart from his coaching role, he has tried his hand at a number of other management positions. “I think it’s OK like this and Solskjaer has to accept it. If he brought him into his team, he must have been aware of who he was bringing in.”
And it is in Ronaldo that the 52-year-old Englishman sees great potential. “The boy will be 100% a coach. I would bet on him becoming Manchester United coach in the next 18 months. Once Ronaldo is done as a player, he will become a coach, it will be an automatic choice.”
The fact that many people are unhappy with Solskjaer and fans are calling for his sacking after virtually every game, often a good one.
The Norwegian coach has done an incredible job at Old Trafford, for which he should be given a smaller statue, no doubt, but many are asking the question, can he win the biggest trophies with a top club?
“If Manchester United win the Premier League, Champions League or FA Cup, Solskjaer will keep his job, but if they don’t win anything, I think they will bring in a coach who can do that,” Sherwood concluded.
Manchester United are aiming for the top and if you put two coaches in front of you, namely Solskjaer and Tuchel, I believe 90% of people, maybe more, will choose the Chelsea coach. And it would be similar with a number of other coaches who are further along than the current Red Devils coach, especially tactically.
