A very unpleasant report has been released in which former Manchester United star defender Patrice Evra admits to being sexually abused by his teacher when he was young.
Patrice Evra, the former French defender who has played for Manchester United and Juventus, has come forward with his unpleasant childhood story. He spoke to the Times about his autobiography.
Evra confessed that at the age of 13 he was sexually abused by his teacher. With this confession, the former football defender is trying to help other children who may be experiencing something similar. He wants to inspire children not to be afraid.
The unpleasant things happened right in the house of Evra’s teacher, where 13-year-old Patrice was waiting after school before he could go home. No one knew about the abuse.
It was only two months ago that Patrice Evra confessed to his mother. Now he has the courage to tell his story to the whole world. He has also added this story to his new autobiography, which will be published soon.
”It’s not about me, it’s about the other kids. I don’t want children who experience these things to be afraid or ashamed.”
”I’m not ashamed to say I felt like a coward for a few years, it was a burden, but I never said anything. Now I don’t do it for myself, I do it for the other kids.”
We will be able to learn more not only about this story, but about Evra’s entire life in his new autobiography, which is due out at the end of October.
