I have spoken to Vinícius and Militão and there is a good chance Ancelotti will become Brazil coach, Ederson reveals

There has been talk of Carlo Ancelotti’s imminent demise for some time now. These speculations were of course helped by the unsuccessful El Clásico weekend for Real Madrid. And with the Italian coach slowly approaching 100 games on the White Ballet bench, his end is also approaching, judging by the past.

In the last 33 years, only Vicente del Bosque (233 games), Jose Mourinho (178 games), Carlo Ancelotti (119 games) and twice Zinedine Zidane (149 games and 114 games) have gone over 100 consecutive games on the Real Madrid bench. The Italian coach now has 99 matches to his credit.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are still struggling on all fronts, although some goals are already out of reach for them. That is definitely winning La Liga, as the Madrid side is already 12 points behind Barcelona after Sunday’s defeat.

However, the White Ballet are doing well in the Champions League, having got past Liverpool and now face a double-duel with Chelsea. It will be a bit harder in the Spanish Cup, where they lost 1-0 at home to Barcelona in the opening semi-final match.

So it is quite realistic that Ancelotti and his charges will not win any of the three major trophies, which is of course unforgivable at the Santiago Bernabéu!

However, speculation over the 63-year-old coach’s departure has been around for quite some time. “I have spoken to Vinícius and Militão and there is a good chance that Ancelotti will become Brazil coach.”

Brazil have won the World Cup five times, but the last time was in 2002. Since then, it has only made it past the quarter-finals once. Namely in 2014 at the home championship and you all know what a beating the Brazilians took from the Germans.

In addition, in three years, the World Cup will be held in the USA, Canada and Mexico, which will be a great holiday for every national team on the American continent. A quality coach who knows how to win is certainly welcome.

The new coach of Real Madrid

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano presents three names in particular that could replace Ancelotti in the summer – Thomas Tuchel, Mauricio Pochettino and Raúl. But recently there has also been talk of Jurgen Klopp, who is having a tough time at Liverpool.
