There has been talk of Carlo Ancelotti’s imminent demise for some time now. These speculations were of course helped by the unsuccessful El Clásico weekend for Real Madrid. And with the Italian coach slowly approaching 100 games on the White Ballet bench, his end is also approaching, judging by the past.

In the last 33 years, only Vicente del Bosque (233 games), Jose Mourinho (178 games), Carlo Ancelotti (119 games) and twice Zinedine Zidane (149 games and 114 games) have gone over 100 consecutive games on the Real Madrid bench. The Italian coach now has 99 matches to his credit.
