I don’t believe a word you say, goodbye, Bayern legends burning into Hernandez. They can’t understand the transfer to PSG in Germany

Lucas Hernandez is leaving Bayern Munich for PSG. But when he wanted to say goodbye to the fans on Instagram, he got one pretty harsh response from a club legend.
The Atlético Madrid ward liked the red and white jersey so much that Bayern didn’t hesitate to shell out €80 million for him in the summer of 2019.
He was quite steady for the first three seasons, but was very unlucky with injuries in the last one. Due to a groin injury, he only managed to play 7 games at the start of the season, he recovered just before the World Cup in Qatar, but tore the cruciate ligament in his knee in the first game and his season was over.
And Hernandez won’t add any more starts in Munich, as he decided to transfer to PSG, who will pay 40 million euros for him, half of what Bayern paid Atlético.
This transfer was not well understood in Germany, as the club was very supportive of Hernandez during his injury and legal troubles, which he got involved in due to breaking a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend.
“It is with great regret that I announce my departure from the club today. After careful consideration I have decided to take on new challenges. I want to thank you for your unconditional support during my time here. The moments we shared together will always remain in my memory, as will the trophies won, especially the Champions League, which I have always dreamed of,” Hernandez wrote on Instagram.
“In conclusion, I ask you to respect my decision, even though saying goodbye is always difficult,” Hernandez added at the end.
But he got a response he probably didn’t expect. The legendary Mehmet Scholl, who played for Bayern from 1992 to 2007, sharply dismissed Hernandez from the club. “I don’t believe a word you say. Goodbye,” Scholl wrote in the comments.
Another club legend, Lothar Matthäus, also hit out at Hernandez in June. “The price-performance ratio of Lucas Hernandez is tragic. There is no appreciation for him at the club anymore,” Matthäus recently told Sky Sports.
“He showed a good mentality on the pitch, but he also got injured several times over many months. As a player you could remember this and stay loyal to the club for a longer period of time,” Matthäus added.
