How’s Kamada? His transfer to AC is no longer realistic, someone else is reportedly a priority for the Rossoneri
He had one foot in Milan, at least that’s how the well-known Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano spoke about Daichi Kamada’s transfer from Frankfurt a month ago. But after the changes in the club’s management, this transfer doesn’t look as promising as it did under Paolo Maldini. The priority for AC is the Villarreal winger.
Negotiations were already in the final stages, Kamada was ready to move to AC Milan. After the end of the season, several European big clubs showed interest in the Japanese midfielder. Kamada, however, turned them all down.
And that he did indeed have a choice – Manchester United, Chelsea, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund. The Rossoneri then reached a verbal agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt, and information about a forthcoming contract was leaked.
Kamada was reportedly going to sign the contract for five years, with an annual earnings of around €3 million. But then something happened that probably no one expected.
The current American owner sacked Paolo Maldini as technical director, along with him the sporting director Ricky Massara also left the San Siro. There has been a change in concept, the transfer strategy has changed dramatically.
This, of course, is also linked to Kamada’s potential transfer to AC, as advanced, almost final negotiations have become a discussion that is tantamount to freezing point. It should be noted the 26-year-old Japanese international’s contract with his current employer expires on the last day of June.
And until now, he’s been willing to wait. However, a few dozen hours ago Fabrizio Romano came forward with the information that the Eintracht player has finally chosen Benfica Lisbon among the European offers. The two clubs have reached an agreement and a contract until 2028 is ready.
Chukwueze as a priority?
According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Villarreal’s Samuel Chukwueze has become AC’s priority target. However, he is out of contract next year and according to the Transfermarkt website, his market value is €25 million.
The fact is that the Rossoneri need a right winger like salt. He would be the mirror of Rafael Leão. Chukwueze has been at Villarreal since 2017, he broke into the A-team a year later.
In that time, he has played 207 games for the Spanish outfit, scoring 37 goals and assisting 31 more. With Villarreal, he enjoyed a trophy for the Europa League winners at the end of the 2020/21 season.
