How not to advertise? The UFC boss watched boxing at his gala. He had a bet, won a bundle
The UFC is, without any doubt or controversy, the biggest and best MMA organization on the planet. Yet, UFC founder and boss Dana White watched boxing at a great gala of his own brand. He had a bet, after all.

The UFC has already carved out a place for itself in the combat sports world, so it can’t be said that it needs any more advertising. But if anything could be described as anti-promotional, it’s the behaviour of the head of the organisation.
Dana White started out as a boxer. So it is understandable that he does not want to give up the sport he has been actively involved in. Nevertheless, the fact that he watched the boxing tournament on his laptop during the UFC gala seems inappropriate.
All this during the well-attended UFC 268 tournament, where Justin Gaethje put on quite possibly the fight of the year with Michael Chandler and where Rose Namajunas and Kamaru Usman defended their title.
He was interested in the fight between Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant, a big boxing event. White himself criticized that this boxing event was held on the same day as his UFC 268. Plus, it’s no secret that White is an avid bettor.
“I like Canelo Alvarez, I watched his fight. I bet $100,000 on him to win by knocking out his opponent,” the UFC boss admitted.
The ticket worked out for White. He won more than 41 thousand dollars, or roughly 893 thousand crowns.
