Jaroslav Šilhavý has been leading the Czech national team since September 2018. He was among the top eight teams at the European Championships and also won the Nations League B. What is his monthly salary?
During his coaching career, Jaroslav Šilhavý led the A-team of Viktoria Plzeň, Slovan Liberec and Slavia Prague. On the bench of the last two mentioned teams he even managed to win the highest Czech competition.
In September 2018, the Plzeň native took the reins of the national team, replacing the not-so-successful Karel Jarolim. Since then, the national team has come a long way.
This is proven by the 2:1 win against England or the 1:1 draw with Belgium. However, we must also mention that Jaroslav Šilhavy led his charges to the first place in the Nations League B, when our opponents were Scotland, Israel and Slovakia.
The fifty-nine year old coach also managed to prepare the team around Patrik Schick perfectly for this year’s EURO, where we will face a quarter-final duel with Denmark on Saturday. The chances of qualification are therefore relatively high.
And what is the monthly salary of the strategist Šilhavy? According to the Sport daily, he should receive 450 thousand. Of the coaches who led their team to the European Championship, only Igor Angelovski, Stefan Tarkovic and Markku Kanerva should be worse off.
On the other hand, the highest paid should be Joachim Löw (10.1 million crowns per month), whose stint with the German national team ended after the loss to England. In second place is Didier Deschamps with a monthly income of 9.3 million crowns.
