The purchase of Sergio Ramos was not the most successful for PSG. Ramos hasn’t started a game yet due to health problems, so PSG are considering an early termination of his contract. But how much could it cost the Parisian club?

Sergio Ramos came to PSG as a big signing for the centre of defence. However, due to an injury, he hasn’t started any games and is still waiting for his debut at his new club.

But it won’t come just like that. PSG doctors have recently expressed concern over Ramos’ health, stating that he will very likely not get back to the top form he was in before his transfer to PSG. And that is a big problem for the club.

Soon, the club’s management started to consider whether they could terminate the contract of the Spanish stopper. And according to current information, it looks like a real possibility.

But how much would it cost PSG? In case of termination, Ramos could claim a sum of £20 million as compensation for the early involuntary termination of his contract.

What’s more, PSG would still have to pay a fine as they would be terminating their player’s contract during the protection period. This period is 3 years after the contract is signed, and if a European club terminates its player’s contract during this time, it must pay a fine for this action.

Thus, the purchase of Sergio Ramos will cost PSG very dearly. Not only the Spanish footballer cannot help the club on the pitch, but in case of termination of the contract, the club will have to pay a considerable amount as compensation.
