How is the public reacting to another Slavic defeat? Jaroslav Tvrdík also expressed his critical opinion
Again, no clean bill of health, but what the hell! The worse fact is that Slavia lost again in the European Conference League. And with a squad full of injuries, the Czech champion is no longer competitive in European football. What are the reactions among the football public?
Again, no clean bill of health, but what the hell! The worse fact is that Slavia lost again in the European Conference League. And with a squad full of injuries, the Czech champion is no longer competitive in European football. What are the reactions among the football public and what did Jaroslav Tvrdík write?
The Red and Whites’ European performance so far resembles more of a horror than a fairy tale of recent years. From elimination in the Champions League preliminary round to the failure in Haifa, things just aren’t going well, at least not the way they did for the Slavs in previous seasons.
The Seškis have already tasted 4 defeats on the European stage this season. This is enough, on the other hand, it must be admitted that despite the suboptimal performances full of mistakes, Slavia is also accompanied by sporting bad luck.
Anyway, the most successful Czech team of the last three years is facing strong criticism from the public and its boss Jaroslav Tvrdík after the defeat to Maccabi Haifa!
“I expect much more from the team than the recent performances. Maybe all the players don’t understand what it means to play for Slavia and that you can’t live off the success of the past,” Tvrdík lashed out at some of the players.
This is how Czech TV editor Pavel Jahoda commented on Slavia’s actions. Some commentators were surprised that he still evaluated the match with a relatively mild tone.
And this is how one of the staunch supporters of the Sešivany club expressed himself on Twitter. Can Trpišovský and his implementation team turn this pressure and bad results into success, or will a weaker season really come?
The next busy week will be the key! Slavia will play three league games against České Budějovice, Sigma Olomouc and a hotly contested Viktoria Plzeň. After that, it will be a rematch with an Israeli team.
