How does the public react to the performance of Slavia? Among football fans there are people who only see the final score!
The Slavs certainly did not impress with the final result, drawing 2:2 at home against Legia Warsaw. The performance was very attractive in some parts, but the low block play did not go as expected.
The Slavs certainly did not impress with the final result, drawing 2-2 at home against Legia Warsaw. The performance was very attractive in some parts, but the low block play did not go as expected. The Red and Whites have huge problems in the new season to play into a thickened defence, but that is bad for any team. How did the football public see it?
The public has mainly taken notice of the shaky goalkeeper Kolar, who most fans have been sewing up, but now the media has fully joined in. It’s a hugely difficult time for the formerly lauded goalkeeper and, above all, a lot of pressure.
Yes, Kolar has made 3 blunders since the start of the season, but you have to see the other side of it. Think back to the spring of this season. After a disgusting tackle by Kemar Roof, the Sešice goalkeeper ended up in the hospital and everyone was relieved that he was alive and without significant consequences. He subsequently recovered incredibly quickly and helped Slavia when they needed him the most.
Is this all we have forgotten in these few months? He didn’t let Slavia down and now the fans should support him the most, unfortunately the opposite is happening.
With this unrelenting pressure, it really seems like one of the best options is that Kolář should rest and clear his head at the very least in the league.
Public reaction
It is a striking fact that Czech football fans, including most of those in Sešice, only see the final result and completely nullify the overall experience of football and the overall performance. Honor the exceptions!
Why does everybody only see Ondrej Kolar’s mistake, but almost nobody appreciates Alexander Bach’s luxury goal? These are the questions we should be asking ourselves and maybe it would benefit football as a whole.
Even the head of the football department of Deník Sport has written his opinion. Under his tweet, a huge discussion stirred up. Most of the public also joined in the criticism of Ondrej Kolar, but there were also a few supporters.
“J.Podroužek- Sparta fan and journalist of Křetínský’s daily. We fans know who you are and why you are constantly kicking our club. O.Kolář,we all stand behind him because we know what he did for Slavia last season. Don’t worry about our budget. Don’t call our coach names!” tweeted one of the Sešiv fans under the post.
The football cynic Neobjektivní Novinář also tweeted an attacking tweet. A big discussion was also started under his comment, where it looked similar to Jan Podroužek’s post.
