In the semi-finals of the Europa League, Frankfurt and West Ham will battle it out for a ticket to the final. The German side enters the rematch in a better position, having come away from London with a 2-1 win. What result do the European analysis and previews sites expect?

The first match offered a very attractive spectacle. Knauff opened the scoring in the first minute and Zouma replied in the 21st minute. However, Kamada added a second goal after the change of sides and Frankfurt took home a valuable win.

Neither team came out victorious in the league rematch. West Ham fell to Arsenal, Frankfurt to Leverkusen. Tomas Soucek was rested for the weekend and only played 13 minutes in the league. Vladimir Coufal played the whole game, Alex Kral spent the game on the bench.

Daichi Kamada is the biggest driver for the Germans in the Europa League. The 25 year old Japanese scored 5 goals and added 1 assist and is the fourth top scorer in the EL. After that, only three goal scorers can be found in both teams, with 3 goals scored by Kostic, Bowen, Benrahma and Rice.

Frankfurt is a relatively offensive team. In the spring, they scored in every game in the knockout stage of the Europa League. And it certainly hasn’t had easy opponents, coming through Betis and Barcelona, now playing West Ham.
