How do people in England react to the club awards for Tomáš Souček and Vladimír Coufal?
The statistics and the optical performance of the Czech players encouraged this. Nevertheless, Tomáš Souček and Vladimír Coufal had to wait until August, when the new Premier League season is about to start.
The statistics and the optical performance of the Czech players encouraged this. Nevertheless, Tomáš Souček and Vladimír Coufal had to wait until August, when the new Premier League season is about to start. As the Czech saying goes Their employer finally came up with the awards for last season and the Czech legionnaires at West Ham took to Twitter to boast of their unprecedented success.
One cannot be surprised. Both of them were at Slovan Liberec a few years ago and probably nobody would have thought that one day they would be awarded by a Premier League club.
West Ham’s right-back Vladimir Coufal won the award for the best transfer of the season.
Tomas Soucek won two awards! The first and biggest one he could get from the London club is for the best Hammer (player) of the season. The second one he got for the club’s top scorer, but here he shared with Mikhail Antonio. Both scored an identical 10 goals for the 2020/2021 season.
Fans’ reactions
The West Ham fans have held both Czech players in high regard and praised them a lot throughout the season. The prestigious statistical websites also praised their performances. Now, however, the official stamp has arrived, thanks to which both Coufal and Soucek will get even higher privileges and will be real idols for the fans.
First, let’s take a look at the most liked reactions under Vladimir Coufal’s post.
“We love you Vladimir. Absolutely deserved award, you’ve been an incredible addition, can’t wait to see you in the upcoming season,” wrote a Kladivar fan.
“I’m not a West Ham fan, but you have been fantastic all season since your arrival. Well deserved, keep it up!” wrote a Manchester City supporter.
The reactions under Tomas Soucek’s Twitter post are not too different, but it is still worth highlighting some of the praise for the new captain of the Czech national team.
“Incredibly humble person – more like that. I hope you will get this award this season as well,” said a Kladivar fan to Soucek.
“You worked incredibly hard to become our favorite. You had some incredible performances last season, hopefully you’ll continue. Well done and congratulations!”
