On Thursday, three Czech representatives will again take part in the European Cups. However, with only two matches left, it’s all about the game. How are fans betting on Sparta, Slavia and Jablonec?
Rangers vs. Sparta Prague
Sparta will play for second place in the Europa League group stage tomorrow in Glasgow. “At Chance, 80% of punters trust Rangers with odds of 1.81:1. They will play at home, they have better form, they have changed the coach and they will certainly prepare their charges well for the opponent,” says Chance spokesperson Markéta Světlíková.
Although Vrbas’ team is playing better than in the past years, only 15% of the bets are going for his victory with odds of 4.67:1 at Chance. They will start with a weakened line-up, the midfield will also be a weakness according to betting experts.
Sparta lost to Slovácko with a class difference, which could easily be repeated at Ibrox Stadium. A draw is not too likely with odds of 3.67:1.
“Sparta play offensive football where a lot of goals are scored. This also applies to Rangers games. Punters expect at least two goals to fall, either side, which they often bet on at odds of 1.31::1,” says a Chance spokesman.
Slavia Prague vs. Feyenoord
Slavia will face a European Conference League match against Feyenoord, who have a four-point lead on them. The Sešiovans have proved several times in recent years that they are very strong at home. Tomorrow they will also want to succeed on home soil and advance.
Chance bookmakers and punters think so too, with 80% of the betting odds picking the home side to win in Eden at odds of 2.13:1. In the previous match against the Dutch team, Slavia burned out in the first half, losing 0:2. In the 2nd half, they reduced the score to 1: 2 and had a big lead, but could not equalise.
“At odds of 3.37::1 Chance has only 11% of bets on the visitors to win. Some bettors believe that the home environment will propel Slavia forward, yet it will not be enough for the experienced European team. 7% of people are betting on a draw with odds of 3.63::1. According to the odds of 1.82::1, more than 2 goals could be scored,” Markéta Světlíková sums up the most frequent picks.
Jablonec vs. Alkmaar
Jablonec will face another Dutch club. The favourite is the visiting Alkmaar. The current odds for a win are 1,82::1. 10% of the bets are on the Northerners with odds of 4.21::1, although Jablonec are also much stronger at home than away.
In their last match, despite losing 0::1, they showed that they are not that far away from their Dutch opponents in terms of performance. “The draw, which the bookmakers have priced at odds of 3.94::1, has 4% of people on the ticket. The exact number of 2-5 goals at odds of 1.37::1 is also a frequent tip,” concludes the Chance spokesman.
