How did he not give that?! A Manchester United player misses a close range shot into an empty net, the public is amused: This is a professional footballer

The Red Devils are looking to get back on the winning streak, as the battle for the top four is very even. The fans were even more disappointed by Aaron Wan-Bissako’s missed chance. But the public are having a great time.
After three games without a win, the Red Devils have begun to worry about their position in the top four of the Premier League. In fact, the debacle at Liverpool, the draw with Southampton and the loss at Newcastle meant that the Magpies and Tottenham came considerably closer to Manchester United on points.
However, Erik ten Hag’s charges managed to win their last game in the league, beating Brentford, and they were looking to build on that win against Everton on Saturday. The latter have picked themselves up under Sean Dyche and although they still have work to do to secure salvation, they have temporarily moved off the relegation places.
Still, Manchester United were huge favourites and could have confirmed that very early in the game. In the 12th minute, Brazilian winger Antony hit the bar after a corner kick. Defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka then found himself with a virtually 100% goal scoring opportunity.
The former Crystal Palace full-back isn’t great offensively. He’s not exactly racking up goals or assists. He’s excellent going backwards, but he’s not very good going forward. And he proved it against Everton.
In the duel with the Toffees, he not only missed a 100 percent chance, but he also missed a more or less completely open goal. The 25-year-old midfielder did not add his third goal for Manchester United. He is already close to the mark of 150 competitive games for the Red Devils.
The public are enjoying themselves
Wan-Bissaka more or less showed with his missed opportunity why the more offensive Diogo Dalot gets more chances at his position. If nothing else, he at least entertained the footballing public. They’re eating his missed chance up.
So there are all sorts of jokes on social media. For example, comments that he is a professional footballer. There is also a question from a fan about how he will explain to his children that this was not a goal.
