How did coach Jindřich Trpišovský evaluate the valuable victory over Union Berlin?

It was quite a surprise for many of the Slavs before the game. However, the starting line-up, consisting mainly of runners, paid off for the German team! Trpišovský and his implementation team, then in the worse passage of the match, made a great substitution and Slavia won a valuable 3: 1 victory over Union Berlin.

The entry into the European Conference League could not have gone better. A home victory crowned with three goals and three points is a start that will help both Czech football and the entire Sešiv community.

The only blemish on the game is the injury to longer-term central defender Taras Kacharaba, who has just played one of his most successful games in Slavia. The Red-White cabinet dedicates the win to him.

Coach Jindřich Trpišovský’s assessment

“The match confirmed what we said before. It was a very difficult match. It was a very good match. The first half had a great pace, there was a great crowd that got the best out of us. The fans helped us a lot at the end,” Trpišovský said.

It should be noted that the backdrop was also Union fans, who came to Prague in large numbers and especially during the first half were very audible. During the second act they were a bit quiet.

“Taras (Kacharaba) and Aiham (Ousa) played great, they played one-on-one with the Union strikers. After the red card Union changed the formation and it was two on one. Taras’ substitution was decisive for us, he won almost all the duels in the first half.”

Afterwards, Trpišovský paused to praise the deployment of Ousou and praised the young Swede a lot. He did well in his first big game and did not follow up his terrible performance in Karviná, where he started at right back and came on at half-time.

“Aiham’s deployment was decided by his style of play. Union have their two best players up top. We knew it would often be two on two. Aiham has a great disposition, he is dynamic and understands the ball.“

“Aiham learns very quickly. It’s a pleasure to work with such a player. You could already feel it before the transfer. He is a leader, he has a great attitude. It was the first time he played in such a match and he showed his skills against a great pair of strikers,” praised Trpišovský for his promise for the future.

“I am glad that the strikers contributed to the goals. Krmencik and Kuchta showed a variant of how we can finish games. Schranzík (Ivan Schranz) is a certainty, he is good at finishing,” said the Slavia coach happily.
