Spain vs. Norway? Saturday night’s most anticipated match of the entire national team schedule. Two interesting teams with interesting players and young talent.
In addition, the starting line-ups are made up of players who are among the driving forces of their teams in the Premier League. Martin Odegaard, as Norway’s captain, leads Arsenal to the title, while Rodri is in Spain’s midfield for a change at Manchester City.
Odegaard, in particular, has been playing in great form this season and has been a really big workhorse for the Gunners. He wanted to carry his form over to the national team, even though his Norway side were slight underdogs against Spain.
This was confirmed in the 13th minute when Dani Olmo opened the scoring and sent Spain into a 1:0 lead.
But more than his goal and anything else in the match, it was the clash that occurred during the match that was the issue. And that was between Odegaard and Rodrigo. The Arsenal star got to the ball in the sixteen yard box and, after some good work, tried to shoot.
But no sooner had Odegaard fired, than he was tackled by Rodri. The footballing public doesn’t understand that there was no foul and no penalty. Arsenal fans see the intervention as an attempt to eliminate the rivals’ title rival.
Odegaard broke up the duel and continued the match, but the Spanish midfielder’s harsh tackle could have ended in a much worse scenario.
