Czech tennis is mainly promoted by women. In recent years, especially the pair of Karolina Pliskova – Petra Kvitova in singles. In doubles it is Barbora Strýcová, who is only sixty-five points behind the leading player.

The highest-ranked Czech on the WTA rankings is currently Karolina Pliskova, who is ranked ninth. However, she has recently dropped three places, losing 605 points to sixth-ranked Bianca Andreescu.

You would most likely be looking for Petra Kvitova in the top ten as well. But in vain. The thirty-one-year-old is currently eleventh, but she is only fourteen points behind tenth-placed Kiki Bertens.

Thus, there is a difference of 184 points between Pliskova (4660 points) and Kvitova (4476). There is one more Czech representative in the top twenty. This is the talented twenty-one-year-old Markéta Vondroušová.

She rounds out the top twenty with 2862 points. Barbora Strýcová is also very successful and is second in the doubles ranking.

The experienced thirty-five-year-old tennis player is only sixty-five points behind the leader Su-Wei Hsieh. There are two other Czechs in the top 10.

The seventh place belongs to Barbora Krejcikova, who has 6665 points and the eighth position is occupied by Kateřina Siniaková, who boasts 6640 points.
