In just two weeks Czech teams will enter the qualifiers of European competitions. The same will be the case for Sparta, who will challenge Norwegian Viking on 21 July. The Norwegian league is already in full swing and Viking’s last matches did not go well at all.
Viking played the first round of the Norwegian league at the beginning of April. Back then, except for one defeat, they were picking up point after point, but since the seventh round there has been a turning point.
Viking has not won six games in a row! They drew with Tromso and Ham-Kam, then lost three times to Stömsgodset, Sandefjord and Haugesund.
The last match was against Rosenborg at home and the team from Stavanger drew 1-1. They have only three points from six games, but still enough to finish third in the league.
How is this possible? He has played the most games, 14. Some teams are only 13, 12 or even 11 games behind him.
The last one, Kristiansund, is only ten. However, from this measure, it can be concluded that Viking’s players are not in ideal form to be able to knock out Sparta at the end of July.
The team hasn’t had a chance to show theirs yet in the preparation, the team has strengthened several players, others are still not fit and everything will be shown at the summer training camp in Austria, where the team left on Sunday.
