Czech MMA beauty Martina Jindrova was no match for her huge opponent in the first round of the PFL Million Dollar Pyramid and took a crazy kick to the head. But now she’s home and feeling fine. How does she feel about her first knockout of her 25-year career?
Martina Jindrova entered the new season of the overseas PFL on Friday, where the winner of the entire pyramid will take home one million dollars.
She made a huge name for herself last year when she won three games in a row before being stopped by long-time pyramid ruler Kayla Harrison.
This year she faced American giant Amber Leibrock, who gained valuable experience in Bellator, in the first round.
The American had a significant height advantage over the Czech beauty and it was evident in the match itself.
After only two minutes and 19 seconds she got a hell kick on her head and another volley of punches on the ground forced the referee to stop the fight. Jindrova thus scored a tough defeat in the first round.
Now the lioness is already waiting for them at home and decided to react to the aforementioned fight on her social media. “Friends and my fans, I’m back home and I’m fine,” Jindrova reassured fans in a post on her Instagram.
“I’m so sorry for what happened, I’m disappointed, but there’s nothing I can do. I felt great in the match until then. But then the kick came. I got the first knockout in my entire fighting career, which has spanned 25 years,” she said, referring to her rich career in kickboxing and Muay Thai.
The loss obviously left the 32-year-old Jindra extremely disappointed, but she is now focused on the next round. “Life is not just about winning, losing is also part of sport. The important thing is not to get upset. It’s just moving on,” she finished optimistically.
