Hearthrob Reus has spoken out about Lewandowski’s departure from Bayern. How does the Dortmund legend see his future?
Marco Reus is a big hearted man. Despite not winning many trophies with Borussia Dortmund, he remains loyal to his beloved club. Now, however, he only has a year left on his contract. This puts him in the same situation as his former teammate Robert Lewandowski, who is on his way out of Bayern Munich. He also commented on him in a recent interview.

Reus is in a similar situation to Lewandowski, he will deal with it differently
Marco Reus has been at Dortmund for 10 years. In that time, he has won five trophies with his beloved club. He has won the German Super Cup three times and the DFB Pokal twice. In addition, he was voted the best footballer of the Bundesliga three times.
However, he has not yet lifted the coveted trophy for the winner of Germany’s top competition above his head. While several of his former teammates have left Dortmund because of this, he remains loyal. One of those former teammates is Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski.
The Polish striker has a year left on his contract, as does Reus. However, both intend to handle the situation differently. Lewandowski has been longing for a move to Catalonia and he will get one. Bayern have already announced an agreement with Barcelona.
What about Reus? “It will be a big loss for the Bundesliga because another excellent striker will leave. But if that is his wish, then I wish him all the best,” he commented to Bild on Lewandowski’s departure.
He then sees his future clearly. Back in February, he had already made it clear that he intended to end his career at Dortmund. This is of course great news for Borussia. It needs at least a permanent player at a time when the famous club has become a mere transfer station.
Moreover, Reus is still performing excellently. He has matured, he is a true leader. His health has also held up recently, which is crucial given his career, which has been badly affected by injuries.
