Is football coming home? We’ll get our first clue on Sunday night. England will play their first match at this year’s European Championship and it won’t be easy. They will be up against an intriguing Serbia team. However, coach Dragan Stojkovic has admitted concerns about one of England’s stars.

The biggest favourite at this year’s European Championships is going into action. At least, that’s according to how the EURO 2024 odds looked before the start of the football fest. England will already challenge dangerous Serbia on Sunday night.

Interestingly, coach Gareth Southgate has not been afraid to make some bold moves. He didn’t take stars like Marcus Rashford, James Maddison or Jack Grealish to Germany. Still, Albion’s roster is pretty stacked.

Football fever is currently gripping the islands. As usual, all English people are hoping that football will finally come home this year. But the cradle of football has never won the Euros, yet the chant “Football’s Coming Home” is heard at every football event where England play.

Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham, two of Southgate’s greatest aces, are expected to be the main drivers. Kane has had another great season, this time for the first time in a Bayern Munich jersey, while Bellingham has shone for a change at Real Madrid, which he led to the title and a Champions League win.

Does England have a future Ballon d’Or winner in its ranks?

Interestingly, the biggest pressure seems to be on Jude Bellingham. After all, a great video clip from Adidas clearly shows that he should be the deciding factor.

Serbian coach Dragan Stojkovic also has words of praise for him. “Bellingham is fantastic. He will definitely win the Ballon d’Or in the future. He’s playing unbelievable, even though he’s still young. He’s strong, he has tremendous quality and he showed it all at Real Madrid,” Eurosport quotes him as saying.

“It’s admirable how he’s already playing. The performances he puts in every game. It’s great for England to have him. For us, it’s bad news. But we have to try to do everything possible to defend him. You mustn’t give him too much space. He is very important for the England team,” Stojkovic said.

But he too has aces in the team that the England team must watch out for. Dusan Vlahovic, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Luka Jovic, Filip Kostic, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Dusan Tadic and Sparta star Veljko Birmancevic are worth mentioning.
