He turned down Liverpool and PSG because he wants to play for Real Madrid. Tchouméni’s €100 million transfer is imminent
He’s the hottest commodity on the market right now. 22-year-old Aurélien Tchouaméni is a future football superstar and the prototype of the modern central midfielder. It’s not for nothing that the biggest teams are after his services, but only one can win.
He’s the hottest commodity on the market right now. 22-year-old Aurélien Tchouaméni is a future football superstar and the prototype of the modern central midfielder. It’s not for nothing that the biggest teams are after his services, but only one can win.
He has several suitors. You won’t find many similar types on the transfer market. Thanks to his height (187 centimetres), Tchouaméni is very strong in the air and has an athletic physique, so he is very well equipped in terms of speed.
At the same time, he is very strong in duels, has a great understanding of the ball and has an amazing shot. What more can you want from a defensive midfielder?
So there has been extreme interest in the 22-year-old diamond from Monaco. In addition to Real Madrid, who have been tracking him for some time, Liverpool and PSG have entered the fray. Jürgen Klopp himself arrived in the princely city and tried to persuade Tchouaméni to move to Liverpool, while PSG’s new director Kylian Mbappé tried to persuade his teammate to move to Paris, but to no avail.
Tchouaméni has already decided he wants to play for Real Madrid. And even though he would have had a much easier route into the starting line-up at Liverpool and PSG, at the Santiago Bernabéu he will have to deal with the five of Casemiro, Kroos, Modric, Valverde and Camavinga.
Tchouaméni is currently at the France national team reunion, where he has already worked his way into the starting lineup. He is then expected to travel to Madrid, where he will undergo a medical and sign his contract.
The price is quite astronomical, as Monaco are asking 80 million euros for their gem. Real should pay another 20 million in bonuses and in total Tchouaméni will cost 100 million euros.
