He may not have had the attitude he should have had, but he has changed, Bruno Fernandes said of the Manchester United youngster

Alejandro Garnacho scored his debut goal in Manchester United’s last game to decide the Red Devils’ win at Real Sociedad. However, after the game, the Argentine youngster’s behaviour was the main topic of discussion and United legend Paul Scholes was quick to rush in with a possible theory.

Only 18 years old, the youngster from Argentina, who is considered one of the greatest talents of the English team in recent times, scored his debut goal for United in the Europa League on Thursday and was one of the best players on the pitch during the match.

He was played in on goal by his great role model Cristiano Ronaldo. The young Garnacho then ran up to his idol and asked him if he could use his celebration. The Portuguese star gave him the go-ahead and the Argentine chic ran off to rejoice.

After the match, fans and his teammates sang his praises for his performance. However, Bruno Fernandes also revealed the behavioural complications that accompanied the youngster before the start of the season.

“He played well today, but he knows we expect a lot from him. He didn’t get off to the best start during training and maybe he didn’t have the attitude he should have had. But he has changed and we can see that in his performance on the pitch,” Fernandes said of the youngster, quoted by Talksport.

The 47-year-old Scholes, who has a lot of experience as a Manchester United legend, also commented on these words.

“Maybe the expectations from him were too high. He played for Argentina, and with Lionel Messi. Maybe he came back and thought – this is me and I’m part of the team now. He is a young boy, he will learn and we will see a lot of benefits from that,“ he told the Mirror.

Garnacho will no doubt get the opportunity to show he really is one of the big talents in United’s next few games.

Manchester will be in the league on Sunday against Aston Villa and will play a Carabao Cup match against the same opponent the following week.
