Jirka Procházka has experienced unprecedented success. He was the first in the history of Czech MMA to win a title in the top league in the world. This, of course, brings with it many obstacles that could upset anyone. But not the Moravian samurai!

The welterweight division, where Procházka reigns supreme, is one of the most crowded divisions in the organization. Aleksandar Rakic has been challenging him since his arrival in the UFC, and in recent days Magomed Ankalaev and Jamahal Hill have been quite emphatic about the Czech champion.

Moreover, the moment the Czech fighter decided to give the opportunity to Brazilian Glover Teixeira for a rematch, Polish legend Jan Blachowicz literally erupted into a frenzy. As a former division champion, he feels entitled to another title fight.

But how does the Czech champion himself see it? “I’ve gotten used to it, I’m just in a position that everyone is grinding their teeth for,” he said in an interview with iSport. “I won’t talk as often as others and answer every challenge,” he said firmly.

“They just have to fight their way to me,” the champion is aware. “The guys who yelled at me are high up there, but not at the top,” he said of the many challengers who would like to fight the Czech fighter.

“Glover (Teixeira) and Blachowicz are there now, that’s why I answered them,” he explained. “Glover told me to send him the location, so I did,” he laughed. “Now I’m waiting to see how it all bakes out,” he concluded.

There has been intense speculation in the media and on social media in recent days about how the division will turn out. At the moment, it looks like a rematch of the June title fight, which we could see in December in the US, will be the final outcome. Blachowicz will then most likely have to make it through one more fight with Russian Ankalaev.
