Club football is back on the scene after the national break, with Manchester United welcoming Brighton to their ground in the fifth round of the Premier League.
Fans of the English club were certainly not bored in the previous days, as the pair of Erik ten Hag – Jadon Sancho provided the “entertainment”. We have already reported about the whole situation in more detail in one of the previous articles.
However, in short – Sancho was not satisfied with his workload and just a few hours after the last league game against Arsenal , he issued a statement on his social media in which he denied the coach’s words in a rather indiscriminate way. And the fire was on the roof.
The situation did not calm down even over the national break. There were rumours in the media that Sancho had refused to apologise to the Dutch manager and it all culminated in the club’s recent official statement.
In it, it was just talked about that the former Borussia Dortmund star has been dropped from the squad until the discipline problem in the team is resolved. And in the press conference before the game against Brighton, the coach ten Hag added more spice to it.
Will Sancho ever play for Manchester United again?
“I don’t know. We have a big game ahead of us anyway, going into a new block of games in a condensed schedule after the national break. That’s what I’m focusing on,” said the Dutch coach, who was also quoted by the Manchester Evening News.
“He is not available so he is not important at the moment because he cannot contribute to us. It’s for the benefit of the team. I don’t think about it and I don’t talk about it because we just have to concentrate on the game,” he also told a news conference.
The situation with Sancho has thus escalated further, with the 23-year-old Manchester United acquisition reportedly wanting out of the club.
“The players I have at my disposal, I think they deserve it. I have to guide them, prepare them, that’s what it’s about. I’m just focusing on them,” concluded the Hag.
