Harry Kane will be the top scorer at the Euros. Bettors and Milan Škoda believe in him

Who will wear the crown of the king of shooters at this year’s Euro? England’s sniper Harry Kane has the most confidence. The Tipsport betting company is offering 6:1 odds on his abilities, with Milan Škoda also pushing him to the throne.

Mbappé, however, attracts the most bets, a full quarter. “There is a lot of betting on the French world champions in general, because they are expected to play a lot of matches and have more opportunities to score,” explains Palo Bosko, head of the bookmakers at the betting company.

Bettors on the French champions have not been deterred by Benzema’s health problems, which forced him to make a substitution in the preparatory match against Bulgaria. “It didn’t manifest itself,” Boško says. Finding the top scorer in the French team is tricky, however. “They have so many finishers that anyone can succeed:: Mbappé, Benzema, Griezmann, Dembélé and Giroud,” he calculates.

The English, on the other hand, offer one scorer:: Harry Kane, who was the best with six shots at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, even though his team fell short of a medal. “He’s my pick for a player, plus England is a team I’ll be rooting for,” reveals former Czech international Milan Škoda.

However, he does not resist the rather dreamy idea of one of the Czech players wearing the crown. “Why not,” Škoda sees nothing impossible. He puts Patrik Schick in the first place. “But a lot will depend on whether he starts from the beginning and also how far the Czech team will go,” Škoda points out.

The odds of 84::1 are written that the Czech team will score two goals in the tournament. That’s exactly how many they scored, under coach Pavel Vrba, at the previous European Championship in 2016 in France. Both in the draw with Croatia. And the first one was a precise header by the then Slav captain.

“I wasn’t even that happy then, because it only brought a reduction,” reveals the mood of Škoda. “The jubilation came only after Necky (Tomáš Necid) converted the penalty that brought the draw,” he does not hide.

The lanky striker of Turkish Rizespor belongs to a small group of chosen ones who scored at the Euro. “Every time I think about it and the goal comes to mind, it warms me up,” Skoda admits. And he wishes his followers to have the same unforgettable experience as many as possible.
