The end of Harry Kane’s current contract with Tottenham is fast approaching its end and therefore the time is coming when both sides will have to sit down at the negotiating table and decide on the 29-year-old striker’s future. However, Gary Nevile is clear on his next destination in the event of a transfer!

Tottenham may have been among the wider top of the English league for the last few years, but despite a quality squad, exciting transfers and famous coaches, they simply can’t win any trophies.

At the very least, striker Harry Kane would have deserved a trophy by now. He has been scoring goal after goal for years, proving his qualities in every season in all competitions, as well as in the English national team.

The London-born player has already played 421 competitive games for Spurs, scoring 268 goals and providing 63 assists. No wonder he has been linked with a move to a club where he would have a better chance of winning something.

Despite the English media reporting interest from several European big clubs, Neville thinks the only destination Kane could go to is Manchester United.

“He’s a great professional and I think if Harry Kane could leave and he got an offer from one of the Manchester clubs, he would take that opportunity,” the former outstanding outside back told Sky Sports.

“At the moment, though, it’s more than likely it wouldn’t be City. And that’s because of their spending on Erling Haaland. The likes of Manchester United desperately need a striker. At the moment, it seems like the most likely transfer,” Neville continued.

The Manchester United legend also expressed the opinion that Kane would not go to Chelsea or Arsenal because of the great rivalry with Spurs. So the Red Devils are a fairly obvious choice.

Newcastle could also be in the game, but it will probably take some time to build a team capable of winning big trophies. The Albion captain doesn’t have time for that.

But the London club obviously wants to keep him at all costs, which is why a new contract is being discussed. The current one expires in the summer of 2024, which puts Tottenham under pressure.

He is currently worth 90 million euros, according to Transfermarkt. If he refuses the extension, he could cost a bidder much less money. However, according to The Athletic, Kane is not ruling out negotiations with Spurs.

On the contrary. He reportedly wants to win trophies with the North London club that nurtured him for big-time football.
