Harry Kane and a key decision. New contract or exit? England’s top scorer wants trophies with Tottenham
Harry Kane is one of the best strikers of his generation. There is no doubt about his qualities. But he’s missing one thing. Trophies. He wanted to leave Tottenham for them once before, but he succumbed to the flattering words and is still in a Hotspur jersey. But now he faces another decision about his future.

He wanted to leave Tottenham for them once before, but he succumbed to the flattering words and is still in a Hotspur jersey. But now he faces another decision about his future.
Tottenham may be one of the top teams in the English league in the last few years, but despite a quality squad, interesting transfers and famous coaches, they simply cannot win any trophies.
At the very least, striker Harry Kane would have deserved a trophy by now. He has been scoring goal after goal for years, proving his qualities in every season in all competitions, as well as in the English national team.
The London-born player has already played 414 competitive games for Spurs, scoring 265 goals and providing 62 assists. No wonder he has been linked with a move to a club where he would have a better chance of winning something.
But he always stayed loyal to Tottenham in the end. He believed that Jose Mourinho or Antonio Conte would build on a successful career and be able to win a trophy with Spurs. But that hasn’t happened and it’s unlikely to change this season either.
Kane, meanwhile, may replace Robert Lewandowski at Bayern Munich, who have a real interest in the English sharpshooter. But the London club wants to keep him. And a new contract is being discussed. The current one expires in the summer of 2024, putting Tottenham under pressure.
He is currently worth 90 million euros, according to Transfermarkt. If he refuses an extension, he could cost a bidder much less money. However, according to The Athletic, Kane is not ruling out negotiations with Spurs.
On the contrary. He reportedly wants to win trophies with the North London club that nurtured him for big-time football. However, negotiations will not take place until after the end of the January transfer window.
