Happy Miami! Lionel Messi isn’t the only top ten star in town, his “number one” Tyreek Hill can rewrite NFL history, even if he doesn’t give it much of a chance

The NFL regular season is coming to a close and it’s slowly time to take stock. While some teams are still struggling to make the playoffs, Miami doesn’t have to worry about it. After all, it’s not only Lionel Messi who shines in town with the number ten on his back, but also Tyreek Hill.

The NFL regular season is coming to a close and it’s slowly time to take stock. While some teams are still struggling to make the playoffs, Miami doesn’t have to worry about it. After all, it’s not only Lionel Messi who shines in town with the number ten on his back, but also Tyreek Hill.

Sports fans in Miami must literally be enjoying themselves. Yes, Inter Miami didn’t even make it to the MLS playoffs after Lionel Messi’s arrival, but they did win the first trophy in club history and will have bigger ambitions next season.

But the World Cup champion isn’t the only top ten star in town. His “number one” Tyreek Hill, who incidentally challenged Messi to a running duel when he arrived in Miami, is on a rampage in the world of American football and therefore the NFL for a change. If it weren’t for injuries, the 29-year-old wide receiver could be attacking a unique record and be the first to surpass the 2,000-yard mark. But he is now out of sight.

Either way, before the last two games of the regular season, Hill is poised for at least the season of his life. As for his team, the Miami Dolphins are literally entertaining with their football this year. They are enjoying the game and it shows. In parties, in interviews, everywhere.

And if Hill was already extremely dangerous with the Kansas City Chiefs, his star is even more pronounced in Miami. Together with his quarterback, 25-year-old Tua Tagovailoa, they can propel the Dolphins to first place in their conference.

Can Tyreek Hill rewrite NFL history?

It’s no secret that Tyreek Hill used to play football as a kid, for which soccer is the more common name overseas. Fortunately, he stuck with American football. In a Chiefs jersey he worked his way up to be one of the top wide receivers in the NFL, working with Patrick Mahomes was great.

But in a Dolphins jersey, his numbers are even better, his star shines even brighter. His first season in Miami was the season of his life in terms of stats. Now he’s playing his second, and he may surpass last year’s. He’s 69 yards short of that, and he hasn’t played all of his games compared to last year.

As far as competition for his job in the NFL, there is none. Hill has 12 touchdowns, dominating in yards. Where would he be if he hadn’t missed the game against the floundering New York Jets?

Not surprisingly, Tyreek Hill is mentioned in connection with the league’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) award. He may not be the frontrunner, but he’s in the short list of favorites. He doesn’t have much confidence in winning the award himself. Nor does he have any hopes of ever winning it.

MVP? He doesn’t believe so himself

“It’s an award for quarterbacks. We all know that. If Tua (Dolphins quarterback) wins it, I’ll be happy. I feel like I got everything I wanted. I got a chance to play the game I love,” the Miami Dolphins website quotes him as saying.

It’s worth noting that never in history has a wide receiver been the MVP. Hill could become the first. But the fact is that the quarterback is the most important player in American football and that is why players at that position win most often. However, there is not much competition this year also due to the fact that many of them got injured.

Hill definitely deserves the award. However, he is still 29 years old and can still prove himself. His main goal then is definitely to win the Super Bowl.

And that Tyreek is not far behind quarterbacks in importance? His contract proves that, with an average salary of $30 million. Only half the starting quarterbacks in the NFL make more money annually.

So Miami can enjoy the presence of outstanding athletes.
