Haaland stated what is most important for his performance. His goal is to win the Champions League with the Citizens
Erling Haaland is currently one of the most dangerous strikers in the world. He has already scored 21 goals in the Premier League and everyone is wondering how he is so unstoppable. However, the key thing for the Norwegian striker is something that has little to do with football on the face of it.
Erling Haaland is currently one of the most dangerous strikers in the world. He has already scored 21 goals in the Premier League and everyone is wondering how he is so unstoppable. However, the key thing for the Norwegian striker is something that has little to do with football on the face of it.
That Haaland will win at least one Ballon d’Or in the future, no one really doubts. Some even think he will surpass Cristiano Ronaldo for the most goals in history.
And the Norwegian striker has made a decent start. At the age of 22, he already has 163 goals to his name, with 213 games to his name. And he’s not about to stop. What is the basis of his success?
“I make sure I sleep well,” Haaland said in an interview during a photo shoot for fashion brand GQ. “I think the most important thing for me in life is sleep – not just sleeping a lot, but sleeping well,” the Norwegian shooter added.
At the same time, he does a lot of meditation. “It’s a very positive thing. To relax, not to think so much. Stress is not good for anyone. I hate being stressed and I try not to get to that point. It helps me a lot,” Haaland reveals.
Besides the hunger for goals, of course, he is also hungry for trophies. He didn’t enjoy many titles at Borussia Dortmund and would like to remedy that at the Citizens.
“I will do everything in my power to be a key player at Manchester City and win trophies here. My goal is to win the Champions League, I hope so,” Haaland said.
The 22-year-old striker will return to Germany in the eighth round of the most prestigious competition. Manchester City will challenge RB Leipzig and are the clear favourites to qualify. However, the Citizens have never won the Champions League and hope that Haaland will help turn the odds around.
