Chelsea London are looking for a new striker after Tim Werner’s disappointing season. The priority is the youngster Erling Haaland from Dortmund, Lewandowski is also in the game, or a cheaper option Sasha Kalajdžić.

Roman Abramovich is a big fan of Erling Haaland and wants to bring him to Stamford Bridge at any cost, the price tag could be around £150 million.

According to Bild newspaper, Chelsea have also contacted Robert Lewandowski’s agent. The London outfit would like to bring the 32-year-old striker in case they fail to get Haaland.

The cheapest option in case neither Haaland nor Lewandowski show up at Stamford Bridge is Austrian striker Sasha Kalajdzic.

The question is whether it is worth Chelsea waiting a year and then paying Dortmund’s £75m buyout clause for Haaland. That will come into effect next year.

“I think that whether Erling Haaland comes to Chelsea or not, they will still be title contenders next season. They are a completely different team since Thomas Tuchel came to Chelsea, and they have also managed to win the Champions League and beat Manchester City three times. I’m a bit skeptical of Haaland as his exit clause will come into effect next year. So I ask, does it seem worth paying twice as much for him now?” andros Townsend said.

According to numerous speculations, Dortmund have rejected several offers from Chelsea, but Roman Abramovich is not giving up. Haaland himself is not opposed to the transfer.
