In his last game against West Ham, Haaland once again showed why he is considered one of the best strikers in the world. The three goals he scored not only secured Manchester City’s 3-1 win, but also put his team at the top of the league table.
“The three points are the most important, so I’m happy. I feel good and energized, ” Haaland commented on his performance on the club’s website.
Haaland is unstoppable
The first of his three shots came in the tenth minute when a brilliant pass found Bernardo Silva. Haaland handled the West Ham defence with ease and opened the scoring.
The second goal came in the 30th minute when the Norwegian shot-stopper fired the ball under the top bar, completely surprising the Areola goalkeeper. He then completed his hat-trick in the 83rd minute when he ran between defenders on a pass from Nunes and finished coolly.

“He’s one of the best players in the world and he proved it. That’s why he plays for Manchester City. I’m sorry about the first goal, but overall I’m happy with the performance. I think we were able to draw.”
The performance of Czech national team players Tomáš Souček and Vladimír Coufal, who intervened in the second half, could not change the fate of the match, but both players contributed to the team’s dignified performance.
“We have to continue and work on the good things we did against City. We played one of the best teams in the world and we were close to succeeding,” Lopetegui assessed the match.
