Guardiola: Social networks? Nothing for me! If someone wants something, they have a phone call for me. You might be surprised, but it’s really enough to live on
Pep Guardiola ranks among the best coaches of today. He doesn’t use social networks to do his job, which he hasn’t yet found to his liking. At his last press conference he admitted that anyone who wants to communicate with him can call or text him.

- Social networks are a foreign word to Guardiola
- He is not in any groups with players
- He prefers to call or text
Pep Guardiola took up coaching after his playing career ended. He started out in the reserves of his Barcelona club, in which he later moved to the A-team and became a big fan favourite.
With the Catalans, he won three LaLiga trophies and two Champions League, among others. After a successful era, he decided to make a change and took up an offer from Bayern Munich, where he definitely confirmed his qualities.
Guardiola won the Bundesliga three times and the League Cup twice in Germany, but failed to win Europe’s top club trophy. So he had to go to Manchester City again, where he still works today.
He currently has six league titles and one Champions League trophy with City. He is definitely one of the best coaches in football today and in history.
Guardiola and social networks
Although the Spaniard doesn’t rank among the older coaches, social networks mean nothing to him. At his last press conference, he admitted that he doesn’t use any of them and prefers the classic call or SMS.
“I don’t like emails. I don’t even like WhatsApp and similar apps. We don’t have any groups with the players, no TikTok, Twitter or Instagram,” Guardiola said.
“If someone wants something, they have a phone call for me. Whoever knows me and needs to contact me, just call or text. You might be surprised, but it’s really enough for me to live,” he added.
