Czech tennis players are having a really good week. Three of them made it to the quarter-final stage and it may not even be the final!

Petra Kvitova was the first to secure her place in the quarterfinals. The tenth player of the world ranking defeated Jennifer Brady and Maria Sakkari at the tournament in Stuttgart, Germany.

Karolina Pliskova also shines on the clay courts in southwest Germany. The Czech number one is not in the best form, but she still knocked Tamara Korpatsch and Jelena Ostapenko out of the tournament.

Kateřina Siniaková is the third Czech to reach the quarter-finals. She faced Cristina Bucsa and Kristina Mladenovic in Istanbul. She won both matches after a three-set battle.

But even that may not be the final. On Friday, Karolina Pliskova will face world No. 1 Ash Barty, Kateryna Siniakova will challenge tournament No. 1 Elise Mertens and Petra Kvitova will take on Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina.

At least one Czech player is expected to advance to the semi-finals.
