Great! The former Octagon champion scored his fourth win in the UFC, winning for the first time before the limit

The UFC hosted an unnumbered gala in Las Vegas on Saturday night and the biggest draw for Czechoslovak fans was the duel between the former Octagon champion. Martin Buday jumped into his fourth fight in the best organization in the world and did very well.

Although Vicente Luque and Rafael Dos Anjos are responsible for the main event at the last UFC event, the Czechoslovakian scene had its eyes on the performance of the Slovak heavyweight.

Martin Buday made his way to the best organization on the planet via Dana White’s Contender Series in 2021, and he’s made a great start to his stint there. He defeated Chris Barnett, Lukasz Brzeski and Jake Collier in succession.

On Saturday night, he faced a seasoned opponent. Josh Parisian should have been an interesting test for the former champion, but the Slovakian showed clear dominance from the beginning.

Buday hadn’t won before the limit in the UFC and he was looking to change that with Parisian, and it showed from the first second. He was active and soon was able to hit his opponent good and hard and get him in trouble.

In addition, Parisian attempted a takedown with about a minute and a half left in the first round, which he could only regret moments later. Buday defended it well and in turn took the American to the ground himself, where he was able to finish him off.

The Slovakian heavyweight successfully mounted a kimura and won by submission for the third time in his career. Overall, this is his fourth win in the UFC and he now holds a streak of twelve wins in a row in his career.

Buday thus holds an impressive 13-1 record, having lost only his second career professional fight in 2017. He’s accomplished a lot in that time, and his journey certainly isn’t over.

He impressed Daniel Cormier with his performance and revealed that he is ready for a tougher opponent, ideally someone from the rankings, i.e. a top 15 heavyweight. He knows that it will be a challenge, but he definitely deserves such a test.
