Rangers fire coach, Beale is one of the shortest serving coaches in franchise history

Michael Beale ultimately didn’t last a year on the Rangers bench when the Scottish management sacked him after the defeat to Aberdeen on Sunday. The team, meanwhile, will continue to be led by Steven Davis, Alex Rae, Steven Smith, Brian Gilmour and Colin Stewart.
The English coach’s grip was broken by Saturday’s 1:3 home defeat to Aberdeen, in which only former Slavic winger Abdallah Sima scored for the home side, who is also the team’s top scorer with two goals, along with striker Danil.
The Scottish team has 3 defeats after 7 matches and is already 7 points behind the leading Celtic. Rangers were in good form before this weekend, having won 4 previous games without conceding a single goal. They also beat a strong Real Betis side in their Europa League opener.
They will now be led by club legend Steven Davis on a temporary basis for their second game in the European Cups against Aris Limassol. Until the management finds a replacement, of course.
“Thank you to everyone behind the scenes at the training ground and Ibrox, the board, staff, fans and all the players. I will always follow and support the club from afar and wish you every success.
“It is now time for everyone to fully unite behind Steven Davis and the team in the coming games. There is still a lot to play for this season and I firmly believe in this group of players. Thank you and good luck, ” the English coach wrote on social media.
Beale thus became one of the coaches who spent the least time on the Rangers bench, with only Pedro Caixinha and Paul Le Guen getting less time away from management.
meanwhile, the 43-year-old native of Bromley, England, is leaving Rangers for the second time, having spent over three years as an assistant to Steven Gerrard, with whom he subsequently left for Aston Villa. Then in 2022, he took his first head coaching job, specifically at QPR, where he coached for 22 games.
